After joining the wait list I was finally
able to get my first Mishi Box! I’ve signed up to a 3 month subscription and
this is the first of those boxes.
Apologies for the late review, was in Japan
when this arrived and have just got my hands on it.
Mishi Box is an America based K-Beauty
subscription service.

beauty products in each box.

Thoughts: TonyMoly has a cute panda line and this is their eye
mask. I like eye masks for their temporary hydrating and brightening effects. This
one contains Niacinamide which is well known or it’s brightening effect. It
also contains Bamboo and Aloe Vera extracts which are both good for hydration
and soothing. A lot of subscription boxes have sheetmasks in them so it’s nice
to see an eye sheetmask. This is a popular mask online and I’m looking forward
to trying it out.
Thoughts: This cleanser could have come in rose or green tea. I’m
glad I got the green tea version as that’s better for oily/red skin which is
what I suffer from. I love how many fruit extracts that this cleanser contains.
Sadly I already have a ton of cleansers, and I don’t know the pH of this one,
so it’s going in my gifting box.
Thoughts: I love that they included a hair product! I’ve tried very
few Asian products for hair and I can’t wait to start trying new things. This
is full sized and promises to repair damaged hair while moisturising and
nourishing it. This is single use only, and you mix with equal parts water for
it to become a thick gel that you apply to your hair. You leave it on your hair
for 20 minutes and rinse off.
D’RAN Aqua Wonder Intensive Renewing Essence
- $35.99
Thoughts: Another full sized product in the box. It’s from a brand
I’ve not heard of which makes me happy. One of the prime reasons I get
subscription boxes is to discover new products. This is a super hydrating
essence which brightens skin. I like the inclusion of Niacinamide, less
enthused by all the polymers and alcoholic ingredients though. Someone with
sensitive skin might want to give this a miss.
Purederm
Ultra Repair Foot Mask in Apricot -$6 (£2.24)
Thoughts: This is a foot mask from the purederm brand.
Purederm is known to me, and I don’t think of it as a high end brand. It
promises to moisturise and nourish skin. You wear the socks for 20-30 minutes
and then massage the rest of the lotion in. I do like receiving masks in my
boxes, but this was the 2/3 masks included and I was disappointed to see that.
I tend to use foot cream in the evenings and don’t find my feet need the extra
bit of moisture. Going to save this for summer though for post a beach trip!
Thoughts: This girl has sass! This is another product from the
Velieve brand, and is a honey sheet mask. Now I am in the one a day club so I
do like being given sheetmasks, especially ones with pretty packaging! This
mask contains Honey and Royal Jelly extract, so I’m saving it for a day when my
skin needs that extra hydration punch.
Overall
I was really pleased with the
variety in my first Mishi box. There was a cleanser, essence and hair product,
plus three masks. I could have done with a different product other than another
mask though. Or maybe even two of the Girlish masks instead of the Purederm
mask. Would have also been nice to get more products that I could use more than
once, 4/6 are one shot only. I certainly got my value back on the box and was
introduced to new brands. Was a great surprise to come home to and looking
forward to the April box!
