I love surprises. So when I spotted the “Mystery
Raffle Bundle” on the Beauteque Instagram I was instantly doomed to be opening
the wallet.
There was absolutely no clue as to what you could
get, so it truly was a surprise when I opened up the box today! Every box was
potentially different, so I hope you find this review insightful as to what
kind of product you could expect in a future mystery box from Beauteque.
My first thought was “green?!”

Would I pay $13 for cleansing tissues normally?
Probably not. Am I happy to see these? Yes!
They smell like watermelon and feel fresh and soft
on my skin. I’ve already opened this up and used them. I don’t think they’re
strong enough to take make up off, and I’ll stick to my double cleansing
routine. But to freshen up in the morning or when I get home from work and need
to feel clean quickly they’re great.
This gel contains 96% Bamboo extract and promises to
soothe and leave skin moisturised. I have very few brands from Beyond, so was
intrigued to see this in the bag. Beyond is against animal testing and this
particular product is in recyclable packaging. So it’s not just the colour
green but is also green!
This product is just in time for summer
and would make a great soothing gel for my freshly shaven legs.
Nature Republic Soothing &
Moisture Aloe Vera 90% Body Cream
Nature Republic is a well known Korean Beauty brand.
In terms of their aloe vera products they’re probably more well known for their
gel rather than this body cream. This is the first time I’ve actually seen this
body cream. Aloe Vera is great for soothing skin and moisturising, if you have
sensitive skin this is usually a safe ingredient for you. My only issue is that
I already received the bamboo gel. I know it’s a mystery bag but would have
been nice to get a bit more variety.
Thoughts First
non green item! I’ve actually received this brush in the past, in a Beauteque
Bag. The colour is great, and it’s a sturdy handle. But I prefer my Body Shop
brushes. This is a good basic beginner brush, so I’ll be saving it as a gift
for someone starting their journey into make up.
Thoughts So
this promises to be a smudge-proof, water-proof eye shadow stick. I got this
shade in BE02, which is a golden desert colour. I actually love this colour as
it’ll work well in a natural look, particular for trips to the beach. Here’s to
hoping that it’ll leave up to its claims!
Dear lord that’s a lot of ingredients for such a
tiny bottle! This is a creamy blusher which comes in 6 different shades. I got
WH01, which from swatches online looks to be too lightly pigmented to give a
blush but works well as a highlighter. This actually is to my benefit as I
already have many blushers but not too many highlighters!
Altogether 6 products
Altogether the value of the goods did exceed what I
paid, by Beauteque prices. I could potentially find these cheaper online and I
wasn’t too happy that there was an Aloe Vera Cream and a Bamboo gel.
But I am very happy with the Skinfood cleansing
tissues which I wouldn’t have otherwise bought for myself, and looking forward
to trying out the A’Pieu Highlighter.
My suspicion is that these are the leftover products
from unpurchased Beauteque BB Bags. Which I don’t mind as I liked most of them,
but that’s something to keep in mind.
Don’t regret my purchase and will probably be hooked
again if they do this bundle once more.
